About the British Institute of Professional Tradespeople.

BIPT objectives are: to encourage the highest standards of practice amongst tradespeople; to facilitate exemplary services for the public and to provide a pool of resources and benefits for our members.

We are a private members club and  an unincorporated sister arm to the British Institute of Butlers & Home Service Professionals established in 1979, with whom we seek to cross-pollinate.

The keywords within the Institute are "networking" and "mutual benefit". All members are entitled to equal access to resources (e.g. for recruitment, training, discounts, corporate clients etc).

Our facilities are entirely free for customers - public, private or corporate. We aim to cover our administration costs through minimal annual subscriptions. There is no other form of revenue, no commission or fees are charged on transactions or referrals engendered from within.

Our membership is comprised of highly qualified professionals connected to the Building and Maintenance industry, a number of whom have appeared on TV programmes such as 60 Minute Makeover (ITV), Holidays at Home (BBC) and others.
